How to Make Double Chocolate Whole Wheat Pancakes
In a large bowl, stir together all-purpose flour, whole wheat flour, Carnation Breakfast Essentials® Rich Milk Chocolate Light Start™ Rich Milk Chocolate Powdered Drink Mix , cinnamon, baking powder, and salt. In another bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, oil, and vanilla until combined. Add egg mixture all at once to flour mixture. Stir just until moistened (batter should be slightly lumpy). Stir in chocolate pieces. For thinner pancakes, add in additional milk until desired consistency.
Pour 1/4 cup portions of batter onto a hot, lightly greased griddle or heavy skillet. Cook over medium heat for 1 to 2 minutes on each side or until pancakes are golden brown; turn over when surfaces are bubbly and edges are slightly dry.
Serve warm. If desired, dust pancakes with powdered sugar or serve with yogurt or fresh fruit.

Double Chocolate Whole Wheat Pancakes Reviews
Changes: had to add another 1/4 (maybe 1/2, I shouldve measured) cup of milk to get the batter to the right consistency for pancakes; used regular chocolate chips as I didnt have minis on hand; made four BIG pancakes rather than little ones (and a note if anyones making this with regular choc milk mix: the Carnation pouches are 40g). Unfortunately they turned out rather dense and tough from all the extra mixing required to get the extra milk worked in. Flavour was okay, not overly impressed. Difficult to tell when they needed to be flipped as the batter didnt bubble the way regular pancakes do (not sure if its because of the whole wheat? Or just because they were overmixed?). Probably wont make them again, Im sure there are better recipes out there for chocolate pancakes.
No, I made no changes and I would definitely make this again. Delicious
